JASON BOWLES, NO. 81 AMERICAN MAJORITY TOYOTA CAMRY CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY PREVIEW

(MOORESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA) July 17, 2012 – Jason Bowles and the American Majority No. 81 Toyota team head to the windy city this weekend for a rare Sunday race. The STP 300 from Chicagoland Speedway will fill the void of a Sprint Cup Series race this weekend, running Sunday afternoon. With six top-20’s in the past eight races, Bowles and his MacDonald Motorsports team are on an all-time high heading into the weekend.

Jason on Chicagoland…..“I’ve been running some laps on the simulator this week getting ready for Chicagoland this weekend,” explained Bowles. “The track has an interesting shape and I’m really looking forward to getting out there. It’s going to be a little different racing on Sunday but it will put us in front of a large audience which will be pretty exciting.”

Great recovery last weekend…..The American Majority team finished 16th at the “Magic Mile” last weekend. Sounds like a pretty good weekend, except there is a lot more to the story. Jason broke a right-rear shock mount on lap 50 and ran the last 150 laps of the race with no rear shock. Even with the American Majority No. 81 bouncing all over the race track, Bowles kept it clean and stayed in the mix. Bringing home the car in 16th position really showed how far this team has came over the past few months.

Top-20 in owner points…..MacDonald Motorsports has never been inside the top-20 in the owner standings this far into the season. Jason and his team continue to impress at the track and have been consistently challenging for top-10 finishes. Now 20th in the standings, the team will set its sights on 15th; sitting just 43 points back right now.

Meet Jason at the AM booth…..Fans at the track should definitely take the time to come out and see the American Majority booth on vendor row. Jason will be signing autographs at the booth on Saturday at 3:00PM.

Watch the race…..Fans can watch Jason and his American Majority team race in the STP 300 this Sunday afternoon. The race will be run on Sunday, July 22nd at 2PM EST on ESPN.
