“It would be huge to win the inaugural Nationwide race at Indy. Indianapolis Motor Speedway is such an historical piece in racing’s history. It would be an honor to win there. I’ve never made any laps at the track but we have four hours of practice on Thursday so hopefully I can get a good feel for it. I have talked to my teammates about the track and they have given me a few pointers. I feel confident that we can get a solid finish in our Sam’s Club Ford.”

“I’ve talked to our teammates and they all say that Indy races like a short track even though it is 2.5-mile track. Ricky hasn’t made in laps there but I feel confident that he will adapt quickly. We have four hours to get our No. 6 Sam’s Club Ford dialed in and for Ricky to get more comfortable with the track. We’ve had some strong runs the past couple of weeks. We will carry that momentum into this weekend and hopefully leave there with a solid finish.”

So far in 2012, Ricky has three wins, 10 top-five, and 13 top-ten. Stenhouse is currently third in the NASACAR Nationwide point standings; 19 points behind leader Elliott Sadler. At Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Stenhouse will pilot the No. 6 Sam’s Club Ford Mustang. The Indy 250 is the inaugural Nationwide race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Stenhouse has no previous starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in any series.
