RAB Racing No. 99 NNS Preview: Phoenix International Raceway

Dueling In the Desert…Coming off a 16th-place finish in the season opening event at Daytona International Speedway, James Buescher and the RAB Racing No. 99 Rheem team will shift their focus to the one-mile tri-oval of Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Buescher has six career starts at PIR in the NNS with the last start coming in 2012.

Gotta Have a Rheem…For 27 races in 2014, Rheem will adorn the sides of the RAB Racing No. 99 Toyota Camry. Rheem is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta and U.S. operations in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Indiana, North Carolina and Texas. Chassis Info…RAB Racing will bring Chassis No. 040 to Phoenix International Raceway. The last time RAB Racing used Chassis No. 040 was at Phoenix last fall when they went on to finish in the 11th position.

Appearances…On Wednesday afternoon, Buescher will make his first appearance of 2014 on Fox Sports 1’s Race Hub. Check your local listings for show times. On Saturday, Buescher will be making an appearance at the Toyota PitPass display at 11:45am ET to answer some questions and sign some autographs for the fans. The Toyota PitPass display is located in the vendor midway outside Turn 1.

Tune In…The Blue Jeans Go Greenâ„¢ 200 presented by Cotton, The Fabric of Our Lives® at Phoenix International Raceway can be seen live on ABC at 3:30pm ET. The race can also be heard live on SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Channel 90 and MRN Radio.

Buescher on Returning to Phoenix in a NNS Car:

“I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel a Nationwide car at Phoenix. It’s been a couple years since the last time I’ve gotten the opportunity to do so. I’ve had some up-and-down times on the old configuration of Phoenix, but I feel like the new layout really suits my style of driving. My Rheem team had a strong run going last week, we’re going to take that momentum and look to come out firing out of the box this weekend.
