Ford Racing Did You Know? – Homestead-Miami Edition

Ford Racing has won eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championships with the last coming in 2004 when Kurt Busch and Jimmy Fennig captured the debut Chase format crown.

Only one man has won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship twice with Ford Racing and that was Hall of Famer David Pearson, who took the title in 1968 and ’69 while driving for Holman-Moody.  Pearson dominated those two seasons, combining to win 27 races and 26 poles.

Ford has won more NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Homestead-Miami Speedway than any other manufacturer since the circuit started racing there in 1999.  Ford has seven victories, which included a streak of five in a row from 2004-08.

Greg Biffle won the Ford 400 three straight times (2004-06) and is tied with Tony Stewart for the most NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victories at the track.
