No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet News and Notes

. This Week’s Silverado… The No. 31 Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet Silverado team will bring chassis TMS-0202 to Friday night’s race at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis (LORI). This is the same chassis that debuted at Martinsville Speedway earlier in the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season. Since then, it has been completely rebuilt in preparation for Friday night’s 200-lap race at the Indianapolis-based short track.

. Triple Duty… James Buescher will be doing the triple this weekend at LORI. He will compete in Thursday night’s ARCA Series event in the No. 4 Great Clips Chevrolet. He will then turn his focus to Friday night’s 200-lap NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event trying to reel in point leader Johnny Sauter. The 21-year-old driver will end his three night stretch behind the wheel of the No. 31 FOE Chevrolet for Saturday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series event. This will be the first time Buescher has attempted a triple-header weekend.

. Short Track Star… In his two starts at Lucas Oil Raceway, Buescher has collected two top-10 and one top-five result. The Texas-native has an average finish of 5.5 and has completed every circuit around the Indiana bullring.

. Moving on Up… After another solid effort last Friday night at Nashville Superspeedway, Buescher and the No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado team moved up one spot to third in the championship point standings, only 42 points out of the championship lead.

. Consecutive Finishes… James Buescher has been a roll since late April. In the last eight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races, Buescher has picked up 17 spots in the championship point standings and has an average finishing position of 6.6. He and the No. 31 Turner Motorsports Chevrolet team have accumulated three top-five and eight top-10 results in addition to a pole position during this stretch.

. Watch and Listen… The AAA Insurance 200 can be seen live on Saturday, July 29th on SPEED. Race coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 90.

James Buescher on driving at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis

“Lucas Oil Raceway is one of my favorite tracks on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. It reminds me of the tracks I used to race in Texas. It is a great track for both the competitors as well as the fans. To be successful, you need to be able to get your truck to turn on the bottom of the track. We had a great run at LORI last year and feel like we have made a lot of progress to our program since then so I am looking for a solid run out of our Wolfpack Rentals Chevrolet on Friday night.

“I am excited about running the triple-header this weekend. Seat time is so valuable and to have three nights of racing action this weekend is going to be awesome.”
