Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma Featured on Betty Crocker Packaging at all Kroger Stores

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – June 21, 2012 – The Childress Institute for Pediatric Trauma will be featured on six Betty Crocker packages at all Kroger stores around the United States as part of the “Bake for a Better Tomorrow” campaign. Packaging will be in stores beginning June 19.
The special-edition packaging features NASCAR owner Richard Childress and his wife Judy Childress, co-founders of the Childress Institute, as well as Jeff Burton, driver of the No. 31 Wheaties Chevrolet in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
“Betty Crocker is all about family and great recipes and is proud to support the Childress Institute,” said Kelly Kaiser with General Mills. “We are donating $15,000 to the Childress Institute to support this cause very near and dear to our friend Richard Childress’ heart.”

The Childress Institute is thanking fans for their support by launching the Race Weekend Sweepstakes. The winner will receive a weekend travel package for two to the Cup race on October 7, 2012, including plane tickets, garage passes, tickets in the stands, and hotel accommodations. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $3,000.
