Young Buescher Leads Roush Fenway Effort at Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. (March 6, 2013) – Roush Fenway driver Chris Buescher took his first ever lap at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Friday, during Nationwide Series practice at the .533-mile track known at “Thunder Valley.” A day later the 2012 ARCA Champion led the RFR effort with a seventh-place finish – his first career top-10 Nationwide Series run – in his first career start at BMS in the Grit Chips 300.

“That was a lot of fun,” said the 20-year old Buescher on pit road after the race. “This is a top-10 finish for Jack Roush. I really appreciate the support of Jack and everyone behind me. I learned a ton out there today and I’m excited to get back behind the wheel.”

Buescher led the RFR effort on the day, with Trevor Bayne finishing 12th and Travis Pastrana running 16th.

It was the third career NNS start for Buescher, who hails from Prosper, Texas. He will make his next start at Texas in April.
