SS Green Light Racing Eldora Preview

MOORESVILLE, NC – July 21, 2014 – The crew at SS Green Light Racing has been working hard over the last several weeks preparing for the return to dirt in the second annual NASCAR Camping World Truck Series 1800CarCash Mudsummer Classic Wednesday night at the famed half-mile Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH. Jared Landers and Korbin Forrester will take the wheel of the No 07 and 08 Chevrolet Silverado’s for the mid-week mudslinging special.

It will be Forrester’s fourth NCWTS start for the SS Green Light team having made his debut at Martinsville in March. The young Georgian will return to the dirt after spending the last several years in asphalt late models, the ARCA Series and the NCWTS, “I got my start in racing running on dirt, it’s where I came from. I watched the Eldora truck race last year so I’ve been looking forward to this race all year.”

Forrester’s No. 08 Silverado, which has one of the twenty guaranteed starting spots in the race based on 2014 NCWTS owner’s points.

Landers, a regular in the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model series will return to Eldora in the SS Green Light Racing No. 07 after finishing twelfth in the inaugural event last year. “I learned a lot last year of what it takes to get the truck right,” Landers explained. “There is a lot of beating and banging in the dirt late models I normally race, but last year these guys really used-up their trucks. The one thing I learned was a dirt racer does not have as big an advantage as we thought. I know what to expect now, and I’m excited to get to get back in the truck.”

Lander’s No. 07 will race with support from Crop Production Services and Dyna-Gro Seeds.

“The whole SS Green Light team is excited to go to Eldora,” said team owner Bobby Dotter. “Korbin is locked into the show and Jared has the experience to race his way in, we’re looking forward returning to the dirt.”

Wednesday’s race is the second at the high-banked dirt track owned by Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart after NASCAR’s forty-three year absence from dirt racing.
