STOUFFVILLE, ON-Â July 24, 2014– Following a successful western road trip that brought home a pair of podium finishes, Ed Hakonson Racing’s Jason Hathaway is ready for a return to Quebec, as he prepares for the ‘National 250’ at Autodrome St-Eustache.
“St-Eustache is one of my favourite stops every season, I absolutely love the atmosphere there”, said Hathaway. “Our Quebec fan base is absolutely incredible, and each year they seem to bring it up a notch at St-Eustache”
A veteran of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1, Hathaway will enter July 26th’s event in search of his first career victory at the demanding quarter mile.
“We’ve always had really good cars at St-Eustache, and just haven’t had the luck to bring it all together”, explained Hathaway. We have momentum on our side now, after a great western swing, and I’m confident we can keep our No. 3 Pro.Point by Princess Auto/Rockstar Energy Drink Chevrolet up front all day.”
Hathaway will enter the National 250 4th in championship points – just 22 markers back of the lead – and is well aware how important a strong performance will be to his championship aspirations.
“The points are so tight this season, you can’t have a bad outing”, stressed Hathaway, “when you race against the best drivers in the country, you have to be sure to bring your A-Game every week”
