WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR POCONO RACEWAY

Jamie McMurray and No. 1 Bad Boy Buggies Team

IMS Recap: The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) made the annual visit to the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) for the Crown Royal presents the John Wayne Walding 400.  The Cessna Chevrolet SS started from the 24th position and after starting out strong, racing as high as third place, Jamie McMurray would race in the top-15 for nearly half the race, before finishing the 160-lap race with a 20th place result.

McMurray at Pocono: Jamie McMurray will make his 24th career NSCS start at Pocono Raceway this weekend.  In his previous 23 starts he has led 21 laps and has completed 4144 of 4252 (97.5%) laps of competition.  He also has an average start 16.9 and average finish of 20.3 position and has five top-10 finishes at the track dubbed “The Tricky Triangle”.  McMurray has one pole and has a best finish of ninth place on two occasions (June 2004 and August 2008).

Being Bad: The No. 1 Chevy SS, driven by Jamie McMurray, will carry the Bad Boy Buggies branding on the hood this weekend for the GoBowling.com 400.  Bad Boy Buggies has new models and innovations that are revolutionizing the way outdoor enthusiasts use UTVs.  Whether the customer is a hunter looking for the best technology to track and bag her next trophy kill, or a recreational rider seeking to tackle the trails, Bad Boy Buggies will continue to transform the way people enjoy the outdoors.

Kyle Larson and No. 42 Target Team

IMS Recap: As NASCAR made its annual stop at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Larson enjoyed a successful weekend in his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) start in the Brickyard 400.  Although Larson qualified outside of the top-10 and started the race in 15th place, he was able to take advantage of good pit strategy and a fast car to move through the field and earn a seventh place finish.

Larson at Pocono: Larson will make his second career NSCS start at Pocono Raceway this weekend.  In his one previous start earlier this season, he led seven laps and completed all 160 laps of competition, starting 14th and finishing fifth.  Larson also had the fourth-fastest average green flag speed (162.080 mph) during the race.  Additionally, Larson picked up his first ARCA Racing Series win at the Pocono 200 in June.

Truckin’ Around the Triangle: In addition to racing in the NSCS GoBowling.com 400 this weekend at Pocono, Larson will also compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at the Tricky Triangle.  Larson will drive the No. 32 Cartwheel Chevrolet for Turner Scott Motorsports in Saturday’s 60-lap truck race.  This will be Larson’s second time behind the wheel of a truck this season, with his previous start having come at Eldora Speedway last week.

A Shopping Bullseye:  If you have made it to the race only to find out you’ve forgotten to pack a few necessities, there’s no need to worry.  For all your last minute needs and forgotten items, Target has all of the essentials and more. The nearest Target is located at 155 Pocono Commons, Stroudsburg, Pa. and can be reached at (570) 426-1050. Call ahead and make sure they have what you need.
