Tick Tock…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads from the largest track on the circuit to the smallest as the series makes its way to Martinsville Speedway for the second time in 2014. Kennedy has two previous starts at the 0.526-mile track, which resulted in his two career-best finishes of fourth and third. With an average finish of 3.5 and the same chassis the 22-year-old raced in the spring, Kennedy hopes to leave Martinsville with the illustrious Ridgeway grandfather clock.

Previous Race Recap…Kennedy was off to a strong start in his first NCWTS race at the legendary Talladega Superspeedway, posting the fastest practice lap and running in the top five for much of the event. However, contact from another competitor on lap 65 sent the Heater.com Chevrolet into the wall in a series of hard impacts, ultimately ending Kennedy’s day and resulting in a 28th-place finish.

“I’ve been looking forward to Martinsville since we left in the spring; that track has been pretty good to me so far. We’re bringing back the same truck we raced there earlier in the year, which was really good at the end of that race. We had a tough race last weekend in Talladega, so I’m excited to move on to a track where I’ve run well in the past. I think that this is a track that we’ve got a great chance at getting our first win, so I’m hoping I get to leave on Saturday with the grandfather clock.”

The Paper Clip…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) moves from NASCAR’s biggest track to its smallest, as the series heads to Martinsville Speedway. Alex Guenette will be behind the wheel of the No. 32 Motos Illimitées Chevy Silverado for the first time in 2014. Guenette has one previous NCWTS start at the 0.526-mile oval, which came earlier this season. However, this Saturday will mark Guenette’s first start with Turner Scott Motorsports.

Alex Guenette…Guenette began racing at the age of seven and has competed extensively throughout his career in vehicles ranging from karts, motocross and ATVs. Guenette made the move to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series in 2013, where the 17-year-old finished 10th in the Driver Point Standings and brought home the Rookie of the Year award. Guenette made his first-career start in the NCWTS in 2013 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.

“I’m really excited to be behind the wheel of the No. 32 Motos Illimitées Chevrolet this weekend at Martinsville with Turner Scott Motorsports. I made my first start in the Truck Series at Martinsville earlier this season and while we didn’t necessarily get the results we were looking for, I still think the experience will help me as I make my first start with TSM. Hopefully we can gain further experience throughout the day and bring home a solid finish”
