O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway
THREE TO GO: Elliott Sadler and the No. 11 OneMain Financial team travel back to Texas Motor Speedway this week for the second time this season. In 13 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts at Texas, Sadler has three top-five and seven top-10 finishes with 40 laps led. Sadler also won the pole award in 1998 and 2011. In addition, the veteran driver has 19 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Texas, with one win in 2004, a pole award in 2010, a top-five and three top-10 finishes.
JUST THE STATS: After 30 races in the 2014 season, Sadler is currently in fourth place in the Nationwide Series driver championship point standings, 63 points back from the lead. The Emporia, Va., native has one win, one pole award, six top-five and 22 top-10 finishes.
LAST RACE: CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY: Sadler qualified in the fourth position for the Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct 10th. With a pair of untimely cautions in the closing laps, Sadler shuffled back to 13th position. Before the checkered flag waved, Sadler battled his way through the middle of the field and brought home another top-10 finish.

THINK PINK: All year long Sadler has represented pink Oakley driving shoes to show support for breast cancer awareness and honor his mom, Bell. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, and is now a survivor. With October being National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Sadler and OneMain Financial ran a special all pink paint scheme at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Oct 10th. In addition, Sadler sported a custom pink fire suit and custom pink helmet to match the car. All month long, fans have had the opportunity to bid on his race-worn shoes, gloves, suit and helmet. This week, fans can bid on Sadler’s race-worn pink fire suit and a pair of driving shoes. Proceeds from the auctions will go toward breast cancer research and education.
