GRANDSTANDS SOLD OUT FOR QUICKEN LOANS RACE FOR HEROES 500 AT PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

Great seats still available for Friday and Saturday races, starting at $30

PHOENIX – Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber announced today that the track’s grandstands are sold out for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Nov. 9.

“The excitement generated by the new Chase for the Sprint Cup format and by Phoenix hosting the final Eliminator race in the Chase has made the demand for tickets very strong,” Sperber said. “Every race, we hear from drivers and team owners how much they enjoy coming to Phoenix and racing in front of sold-out grandstands, and we are grateful to our fans for their ongoing support of Phoenix International Raceway.”

Although the grandstands are sold out for Sunday’s race, race fans wishing to attend the final Eliminator race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup may still purchase general admission tickets to PIR’s Hillside area.

In January, NASCAR announced a new elimination-style format for the Chase for the Sprint Cup, with three, three-race rounds to reduce the Chase field from 16 drivers to 12, then eight and finally to the final four who will race for the Sprint Cup Championship at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Nov. 16. PIR’s race is the final race in the Eliminator Round, after which four championship hopefuls will see their title hopes dashed and the four-man field for the Championship Round will be set.

Great seats are still available for the DAV 200 – Honoring America’s Veterans NASCAR Nationwide Series race, Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. MST at PIR, with prices starting as low as $35 before Monday, Nov. 3. On Monday, race week pricing goes into effect and tickets begin at $40. Saturday’s action also features the final “happy hour” practice session for the Sprint Cup Series race teams.

The Friday, Nov. 9 Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race also has excellent seats remaining, with prices starting at $30 before Monday and $35 during race week. Tickets for Friday’s race also include admission to Gatorade Pole Qualifying for the Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500, as well as practice sessions for the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series, giving fans a chance to see all three national series on the same day.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday, as well as Sunday’s Hillside area, may be purchased online at PhoenixRaceway.com or by phone at 866-408-RACE.
