Georgia Native Cole Swindell to Headline ‘Fast Cars and Guitars’ Pre-Race Party at Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 March 1

HAMPTON, Ga. (Jan. 15, 2015) – Country music songwriter and recording artist Cole Swindell will headline the “Fast Cars and Guitars” pre-race party prior to the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 1.

The Bronwood, Georgia native and CMA Awards’ “New Artist of the Year” nominee, who has two consecutive No. 1 gold-certified hits with “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and “Chillin’ It,” will perform a full-length concert at 11 a.m. on the AMS front stretch as part of the pre-race festivities.

“I grew up watching NASCAR with my brothers, and I still keep up with the races when I’m on tour,” said Swindell. “I’ve actually never been to the Atlanta race, but what better way could there be to experience it for the first time? This is definitely gonna be a fun trip home to Georgia.”

The Georgia Southern University alumnus’ self-titled Warner Bros. Record debut, which has sold over 310,000 copies and claimed the title of highest-selling country debut since 2011 upon release, also features his current single “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” which is rapidly nearing the Top 20. Named Music Row’s Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year for 2014 and one of Billboard’s Top New Country Artists, Swindell’s celebrated songwriting credits also include hit songs “This is How We Roll” for Florida Georgia Line, “Get Me Some of That,” the No. 1 single for Thomas Rhett, and several songs with Luke Bryan, including his latest No. 1 “Roller Coaster,” among others. As the only debut artist with a No. 1 country radio single in 2014, his debut hit “Chillin’ It” racked over 1.3 million sales of Swindell’s 2.4 million total tracks sold.

“Cole Swindell is sure to bring great energy to the ‘Fast Cars and Guitars’ pre-race party,” said Ed Clark, Atlanta Motor Speedway president. “Cole’s music will be an exciting highlight for both music and racing fans leading to the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 green flag.”

Pre-race pit passes will provide stage-front access to the Fast Cars and Guitars pre-race party, along with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions. In addition, pre-race pit pass holders will have the chance to view and photograph the 43-car Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 starting field, parked along pit road.

A limited number of Sunday-only pre-race pit passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis for $100, and a three-day weekend pre-race pit pass is just $125. A grandstand or infield ticket is required for each pre-race pit pass holder.
