BASF Paint Brand to Continue 25 Year Partnership with Petty Brand
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (January 28, 2015) – There is only one color that has defined the Petty brand over the past 65 years, Petty Blue, And, for the last 25 years the Petty family has relied on R-M Automotive Finishes, a brand of BASF to bring that color to life.  In 2015, R-M will continue that tradition on the No. 43 and also provide the colorful finishes to the No. 9 Ford and the No. 43 XFINITY team for Richard Petty Motorsports.
R-M Onyx HD will also be the automotive finish for all custom cars prepared at Petty’s Garage. R-M is known as the paint brand in the automotive finish industry that is customer driven and committed to providing excellent results that promote high productivity and enhanced environmental awareness.

Richard Petty Motorsports recently moved into a new race shop that houses two paint booths while Petty’s Garage also has an additional two booths. The need for a superior automotive finish at both locations is always an extremely high priority.
