Soaring Into Kansas…The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) is at Kansas Speedway this weekend for a Saturday night under the lights race. Justin Allgaier will be making his fourth start at the 1.5-mile speedway. He looks to improve on his past finishing positions this weekend after being caught up in accidents in his three previous NSCS starts at the Kansas City, Kan. track. The NSCS has raced on three mile-and-a-half tracks so far this season, with a best finish of 20th for Allgaier. Allgaier also has five XFINITY starts at Kansas, with 17 laps led.
New Paint Scheme…Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) is the primary sponsor on the No. 51 Chevy this weekend. Kansas is the first of two primary races for F.O.E. Their next primary race will be at Kentucky Speedway on July 11. F.O.E. will also serve as the co-primary sponsor three more times this season.
Talladega Race Recap…Last Sunday, Allgaier hit the track at Talladega Superspeedway in the No. 51 BRANDT Chevy for the second of four superspeedway races on the 2015 schedule. NASCAR’s new superspeedway qualifying procedures only allowed for one single-car lap. After completing his lap, Allgaier earned the 35th starting spot. During the race, Allgaier managed to escape a multi-car car accident with only minor damage to the No. 51 Chevy. He was able to race his way to a 23rd-place finish in the BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy for HScott Motorsports.

“Kansas [Speedway] is one of my favorite tracks to race at. It’s one that I really took to early in my NASCAR career. It has the feeling of home because it’s in the Midwest, and several of my friends and family members come out during the weekend. I’m also excited to have Fraternal Order of Eagles on my car this weekend. They’re a great group of people and I’ve enjoyed working with them in the past. They are going to be on my car a few more times this season, and I want to put on a good show for them.”
Crew Chief Steve Addington on Kansas Speedway:
“This weekend’s big obstacle at Kansas [Speedway] is going to be the weather. We’ll monitor it really closely and we may have to change some of the plans we currently have for practice, because it looks like our time on the track will be very limited. Our mile-and-a-half program continues to get better this year, and Justin is more comfortable at each track that we go back to. We have Fraternal Order of Eagles on the car this weekend, and we certainly want to give them something to cheer about.”

Spartanburg, S.C. native Steve Addington joined HScott Motorsports in January 2014 as competition director and crew chief for the No. 51 Fraternal Order of Eagles Chevrolet SS. Steve comes to the team from Stewart-Haas Racing, where he spent the past two seasons as crew chief on the No. 14 team and earned four wins with Tony Stewart. Addington also served as a Sprint Cup Series crew chief at Team Penske and Joe Gibbs Racing, racking up a total of 20 wins in the series. Addington began his career working on dirt cars and is a former XFINITY Series crew chief. Addington resides in China Grove, N.C. with his wife Katie and has three children.
