GREG BIFFLE, No. 16 Safety-Kleen Ford Fusion (Qualified 7th) – “I am encouraged with where our lap times are. We are less than a tenth off the pole. A tenth of a second, if I had one more chance at it I think I could have done that. Momentum is kind of on our side. We are getting the car to drive better, getting a little better setup under it and working on our chassis back at the shop. We will continue to make these small gains and hopefully going into Pocono, Indy and Michigan we will see if we can get it up in the top-five. We are in the top-10 now, we need the top-five.” HAVE YOU NOTICED CONFIDENCE IN YOUR TEAM THE LAST COUPLE WEEKS? “Yeah, I think so. I think we are seeing a lot of that. The other thing we are seeing is a lot of little pieces we still need to get. We are missing, looking around, we feel confident that we can continue to get a little bit better and that is giving the team a lot of confidence too.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR., No. 17 Ford EcoBoost Fusion (Qualified 9th) – “The Ford EcoBoost Fusion looks cool and it has some good speed. I am really happy with our effort. It has been awhile since we qualified that well. Greg (Biffle) has been qualifying better the last couple of weeks. We were both similar right there and able to back up our time each run. That is a positive. We have to turn that over to the race trim and in the race and have a good day tomorrow in practice to get it ready for Sunday.”

ARIC ALMIROLA, No. 43 Winfield Ford Fusion (Qualified 23rd) – “That wasn’t the lap we wanted. We just kind of over adjusted. We were off pretty bad in practice and threw a lot of stuff at it late and I thought we made it better but we just over adjusted for qualifying and the car was just too tight. It is what it is. That is about where we have been qualifying unfortunately, around 21st or 23rd. We will do our best to get our Ford ready for tomorrow and figure out how to make it drive good for the long run. This place is a pretty racy place and you can pass and stuff like that. If we get our Fusion driving well on the long run we will be okay.”

SAM HORNISH JR., No. 9 Twisted Tea Ford Fusion (Qualified 28th) – “We were quite a bit off. Even with Biffle the fastest right now he was like ninth or 10th in the first one and he still lost three tenths but didn’t lose as much as everybody else. We lost about five-tenths of a second there. I tried to back up the corner a little bit but when the car landed there was no grip with the front and then you wait so long and give it so much throttle trying to get the front to turn the back end wants to slide coming off the corner. It is a lot different than what we had this morning with our Twisted Tea Ford Fusion. We are looking forward to the race. The track has put down a lot of rubber it gets really slick in the race and if we get any kind of sunlight like this people are going to be moving around trying to find alternate lines to move around here. It will be exciting to see what happens. Obviously qualifying is a ton different than what we had in practice.”
