I followed Dale Earnhardt from 1983 until his unfortunate death
at Daytona February 2000. I also followed Tim Richmond until his
untimely death. I believe to this day that we haven't seen the level
of competition in NASCAR that we witnessed when Tim Richmond and
Dale Earnhardt were racing each other for position.
I have worked on pit crews for race teams for most of my adult
life from local dirt tracks to ARCA and finally started driving race
cars in 1991. The spring of 2002 I elected to retire as a driver and
spend time with my family and pursuing other interests.
I enjoy the outdoors. I love to camp or hike. I love racing,
tinkering with cars, old trucks, and Harleys (has to be something to
do with the sound of a roller cam).
