Race/Date: Las Vegas 350 –
September 22, 2007
Location: Las Vegas Motor
Speedway – Las Vegas, N.V.
NOTES:
· This week’s race truck
for Las Vegas Motor Speedway
is Chassis No. 5-97. This is
the same truck Skinner has
run at numerous races this
year, including his
dominating win at Kentucky
Speedway in July.
Race Winner… Skinner was
your Las Vegas race winner
last year as he started from
the pole and led 114 of the
146 laps ran. He earned a
perfect Driver Rating of
150.0 and had an Average
Running Position of 1.5.
Look for Skinner to try and
duplicate last year’s
efforts this weekend. Pole
Winner… Skinner has started
from the pole position the
last three years at Las
Vegas. Look for Skinner to
try and capture the pole
again as he looks to tie his
(1995) season record of 10
poles in a single season.
Welcome JV… Jacques
Villeneuve, former F1 World
Champion and Indy 500
Champion will make his
NASCAR racing debut this
week in the No. 27 Bill
Davis Racing Craftsman
Truck. It will be his first
oval attempt in nearly 12
years. Skinner Round Up…
Mike and Angie Skinner will
partner with Toyota to host
the second annual "Toyota
Tundra Skinner Round Up"
Sept. 27-28 in Daytona
Beach, Fla. Festivities kick
off 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept.
27 with the "Hoe Down Bash"
at Daytona International
Speedway's Boardwalk
Pavilion. Friday's events
include the star-studded
Golf and Poker Tournaments.
Celebrities will hit the
links at Spruce Creek
Country Club, and then place
their bets at the Celebrity
Poker Table. The Skinners
personally organize and run
this annual event, which
benefits Daytona Beach-area
charities including the
Council on Aging: Meals on
Wheels, Second Chance Animal
Rescue, Safe Kids Coalition
and Greyhound Pets of
America. Last year's Skinner
Round Up raised more than
$104,000, and the goal is
$125,000 this year. To help
the Skinners achieve their
goal, they will accept any
donations. Donations are tax
deductible, and checks can
be made out to "HMC
Foundation." Points …

Quotes:
Mike Skinner on racing at
Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
“The Vegas track is
awesome. We won here last
year and it always seems
that whenever you win
somewhere it is so hard to
do it again, but we are
going to give it everything
we got in order to do so. So
far we have had a pretty
consistent year and I hope
to keep it going till the
end.”
