Brad Keselowski passed
Clint Bowyer with six
laps to go on Saturday
night in the Nationwide
Series Federated Auto
Parts 300 at Nashville
Superspeedway and went
on to win his first race
in the series.
Driving for Dale
Earnhardt Jr.,
Keselowski became the
seventh first-time
winner in the series at
Nashville Superspeedway.
“This is awesome, you
know I came a long way
to get here and I owe a
lot of people. Dale
kept me in the car when
I had bad weeks and now
I had a good week to
show him he was right.”
said Keselowski.
Keselowski’s win was
aided by a late caution
flag with 12 laps to
go. It took him three
laps to capture the lead
after the final
restart. “We just
caught up to Clint there
when yellow came out and
it’s what we needed to
catch back up. We were
gaining but we wouldn’t
have had a chance
without the caution.”
said Keselowski.
David Stremme finish
second, David Reutimann
third, Clint Bowyer
fourth and David Regan
finished fifth.
Doing the historic
weekend triple, Kyle
Busch
finished 20th, three
laps down after a pit
stop with 52 laps to
go. Busch finished
second in the Craftsman
Truck Series race at
Texas Motor Speedway on
Friday night.
Bowyer retains the
series points lead by
166 points over
Reutimann. Busch is
third, 188 points out of
the lead.
