After red flag conditions
just over 25 minutes for dangerous
lightning, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck
series race at the Milwaukee Mile
resumed and leader Johnny Benson pulled
away and went on to win Friday nights
Camping World RV Sales 200.
This is the third
straight truck series
victory at Milwaukee. “I
can not believe we’ve
won three in a row
here.” Benson said.
Benson started on the
pole and led three times
for a race-high 130 of
200 laps in the No. 23
TCUV Tundra.
This was Benson’s
10th career victory and
holds the series points
lead by 50-points over
Todd Bodine.
Wild lightning and
slight rain almost ended
the race early with less
than 50-laps to go. The
caution flag came out
and the lead lap cars
came to pit road. “That
lightning was
unbelievable,” Benson
said.
Rick Crawford was
leading the race at that
time but Benson came out
of pit road with the
lead when the red flag
came out. Crawford was
penalized for being to
fast on pit road. He had
to restart in the back.
He finished eighth.
Matt Crafton finished
second, Cassill finished
third, Erik Darnell
fourth and Todd Bodine
finished fifth
