Here's some items that have come to my attention this week from what I consider reliable sources. Some of this may come true, some of it may not. This source of information has been spot on in many cases.

STEWART/ HAAS - Announcement coming at Indy? - Ryan Newman will be driving the No. 4 Burger King sponsored Chevy for Tony Stewart.

DID MARK MARTIN LOSE HIS RIDE AT DEI? Another source has told me that the sponsor of the No. 8 car, the Army wanted Aric Almirola to drive their race car in 2009, without Mark Martin. As such Martin needed a ride and must have sought out the ride with Rick Hendrick. Did Mark want to race bad enough that he accepted a full time ride as sponsors changed approach with the part time concept?

NEW PAINT SCHEMES IN 2009? I heard that Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson might be having new paint schemes in 2009 that are drastically different than the schemes they carry this year.  Of course I was not able to get even a glimpse of an idea so I thought I would throw it out there..
