Could Ryan Newman have it his way! Sources around the racing world including Speedwaymedia.com are reporting that Burger King is going to become the primary sponsor for the second Stewart/Haas Chevy with Ryan Newman as the driver. Newman announced last week that he and car owner Roger Penske are parting ways at the end of the year.

This is not the first time Burger King has been the primary sponsor for a Cup car. Joe Nemechek was sponsored by the fast food chain in 1995 and 1996 when Nemechek was driving for his own race team and last season David Reutimann drove for not only Burger King but Dominos Pizza. Burger King was the sponsor of the #14 DEI Chevy in 1997 with Steve Park as driver. Burger King was an associated sponsor for Dale Earnhardt from 1997-2000 and for DEI drivers Steve Park, Ron Hornaday, and Dale Earnhardt Jr when they drove in the BUSCH series. Burger King was also an associated sponsor for Hornaday when he drove the #16 truck. Robby Gordon also has had sponsorship help from Burger King.
