Kyle Busch led twice
for a race-high 145
of 203 laps in the
Billy Ballew
Motorsports No. 51
Tundra in route to
his victory on
Wednesday night at
Bristol Motor
Speedway. “This
feels pretty good,”
Busch said. “We just
had a great race
tonight.” Busch
said.
“This is definitely
a great race team.
It's a lot of fun
with Billy Ballew,
Richie (crew chief)
and all these guys.
We just had a great
race tonight. This
thing was pretty
good when we
unloaded it. Same
stuff as last year.
We just kind of
fine-tuned on it a
little bit.” Busch
said.
Busch also extends
his record for
combined victories
in NASCAR’s three
top series to 17.
Todd Bodine finished
second, pole-sitter
Scott Speed third,
Johnny Benson fourth
and Rick Crawford
finished fifth.
“Kyle is a hell of a
shoe. He’s an
incredibly talented
race car driver.”
Bodine said.
On Lap 42, making
his Truck Series
debut, Jimmie
Johnson stayed out
and took the race
lead. About he mid
way point of the
race, Johnson spun
and Dennis Setzer
hit him. “I just
got loose and lost
it. I saved it
three times before
it looped. I ran out
of talent in the
end.” Johnson said.
Johnny Benson
increased his lead
over Ron Hornaday
Jr. to 119 points
with nine races
remaining.
