Polesitter Kyle Busch
led three times for 144
of 150 laps in route to
his seventh Nationwide
Series victory of the
season and the 16th win
for Toyota in the first
27 NNS races in 2008.
This also adds to his
record of 18 NASCAR
victories in the season,
with eight in the Cup
Series and three in the
Truck Series.
“This thing was
flawless, it was just
amazing. I really have
to thank all the guys
back at the shop. I
have to dedicate this
win to Jason Ratcliff.
The way these guys
prepared the cars coming
to the race track is
just phenomenal. All
the Z-Line Toyota guys
on this thing. This is
Toyota's home track and
these guys were awesome
today, this weekend.”
Busch said.
Busch was able to pull
away easily after a few
late restarts to win the
15th racing
of the season for Joe
Gibbs Racing and the
first for JGR after the
penalties for failing a
chassis dyno engines
test at Michigan.
“These guys got a bad
rap a few weeks ago for
what happened, but they
don’t deserve it. This
one means a lot. These
guys have had a lot of
adversity on them the
past few weeks.” Busch
said.
Carl Edwards finished
second, Brian Vickers
third, Jeff Burton
fourth and Jamie
McMurray finished fifth.
Brad Keselowski had a
bad point night. His
engine quit running on
lap 106 and spent a lot
of time fixing the
problem. He finished 33rd
and now trails Bowyer in
the series standings by
204 points.
With his second place
finish, Edwards now
trails by 222 points.
“Kyle and the 18, those
guys were spectacular.
That car was unreal. I
was real proud of my
guys. We did a good
job. It was a great
points night for us.”
Edwards said.
