MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 8,
2008) – You may think you’re
seeing double this weekend
when two Great Clips Camrys
take to the track for Friday
night’s Nationwide Series
race at Phoenix
International Raceway. In
addition to the black No. 38
Great Clips Camry driven by
Jason Leffler each weekend,
Braun Racing’s No.32 entry,
to be driven by James
Buescher in his series
debut, will feature a
reverse Great Clips paint
scheme.
Friday night’s race will
mark Buescher’s Nationwide
Series debut. Just recently
turning 18, Buescher focused
his efforts in 2007 on
competing in both the
Hooters Pro Cup Series and
the ARCA/Remax Series and
quickly made a name for
himself. In seven ARCA/Remax
starts, Buescher finished in
the top-10 six times and
became the youngest winner
in series history when he
won his first ever ARCA
event at Lakeland Speedway.
Buescher started in the
top-10 five times, including
starting on the outside pole
twice.
“I’m really excited to
make my debut in the
Nationwide Series in the
Great Clips Camry,” said
Buescher. “It’s an honor for
me to being driving for
Braun Racing. This No.32 car
is competitive each and
every week and I’m looking
forward to keeping it that
way. I’m sure there will be
a bit of a learning curve
since I’ve never raced at
Phoenix International
Raceway or in a Nationwide
Series car but this is a
great team and I’m sure they
will help me get comfortable
as quickly as possible. Our
goal is to bring home a
solid finish for everyone at
Great Clips.”
Braun Racing owner, Todd
Braun, along with Doug
Stringer, look forward to
seeing both Toyota Camrys
adorned with the Great Clips
logo this weekend.
“We have enjoyed a very
positive relationship with
Great Clips over the last
three seasons,” said Braun.
“Their corporate staff as
well as all of their
franchisees and stylists
across the country have been
very strong supporters of
our race team and we wanted
to show our appreciation to
them by running two Great
Clips cars this weekend in
Phoenix. It is a pleasure to
work with them and an honor
to represent Great Clips
every weekend both on and
off the track. We look
forward to continuing our
partnership with them well
into the future.”
Stringer adds, “We
dedicate this weekend to
Terri Miller, Vice President
of Marketing for Great
Clips. Terri has been one of
our strongest supporters and
we appreciate all of her
efforts over the years.
Everyone at Braun Racing
would like to wish her a
speedy recovery and return
to the race track to cheer
the No. 38 Great Clips
Toyota to victory.”
