Ryan Lawler Ready for
Second Ever NASCAR Truck
Race Lawler to pilot #07 SS
Green Light Chevrolet
Ryan Lawler made his
NASCAR Truck Series debut at
Martinsville Speedway just a
few weeks ago. Lawler
started 19th and finished
17th. While that isn’t the
type of finish that the 2007
PASS South Series champion
is used to, he was very
satisfied with the result
considering that it was his
debut in one of NASCAR’s
three biggest series. He’s
equally excited to move onto
the second race of his
career and improve on what
he learned in round one.
“I had a blast racing
with the truck series guys,”
said Lawler. “It was kind of
frustrating running in the
back because I’m not used to
that. But we’re going to
work on it and get better
for the next race.
Hopefully, we’ll put
together some good finishes
this year.”
Lawler is now focused on
a totally different kind of
race track. “Kansas is going
to be very different from
Martinsville. I’m looking
forward to it though. This
is the next phase of my
career and I hope to
showcase my ability to race
at this level.”
Jason White Looking for
Revenge on Bad Luck at
Martinsville White to pilot
#08 GunBroker.com Dodge
Jason White was holding
off NASCAR Truck Series
Champion Ron Hornaday for
11th position and was
pressuring Travis Kvapil for
10th at Martinsville with
just a few laps remaining. A
red flag came out and when
White returned to racing his
#08 GunBroker.com Dodge was
out of fuel ending his day
in 27th. This had been the
story of White’s season so
far. White and the
GunBroker.com team led by
Crew Chief Doug Howe are
looking towards Kansas as a
turn-around race.
“We just can’t catch a
break,” expressed White.
“Martinsville was really
disappointing. We were
headed for a great finish
and most off all were going
to end our bad luck streak.”
“In this game you have to
have thick skin and you
can’t let these times drag
you down,” added White. “I’m
looking forward to Kansas.
Racing is tough, but no
matter if you win or lose it
doesn’t last long and you’re
onto the next race. We can’t
dwell on the past and just
have to learn from it and
keep moving forward. We hope
Kansas can be a turning
point for us and get this
team finishing where we know
we can be.”
