DARLINGTON,
S.C., May 5, 2008 –
Huggies and Pull-Ups
brands, along with Rite
Aid Pharmacy, are
delivering a special
“thank you” to all moms
this Mother’s Day
weekend. Huggies and
Pull-Ups brands will be
presenting the Women’s
Auxiliary of Motorsports
with a $10,000 check at
Darlington Raceway
during the NASCAR race
weekend to aid the
organization’s
commitment to enriching
the lives of women,
children, and families.
In addition to the
donation, the
Kimberly-Clark sponsored
No. 27 Ford Fusion will
honor all moms by
featuring a special
paint scheme of the
Huggies, Pull-Ups and
Rite Aid brands.
Cindi
Coleman, mother of
NASCAR Nationwide Series
No. 27 driver Brad
Coleman, and Ann
Schrader, Women’s
Auxiliary of Motorsports
board member and wife of
NASCAR driver Ken
Schrader, will be joined
by Rite Aid
representatives Julie
Leonard and Lori Camp
Rogan to present the
$10,000 check. The
donation will benefit
Children’s Chance, a
nonprofit organization
based in Columbia, S.C.
that provides
non-medical resources
for South Carolina
families who have
children facing cancer.
“As
‘Mom’s No. 1 Fans,’
Huggies and Pull-Ups
brands are pleased to
make this donation to
support not only the
NASCAR community, but
families in the Carolina
region that will benefit
from our support,” said
Chris Bofinger, Consumer
Promotion Manager for
Kimberly-Clark’s Baby &
Child Care brands. “We
also have put together a
special gift for moms in
the region – a Mother’s
Day value booklet with
$15 worth of savings –
that will be available
in all Rite Aid stores
in North Carolina and
South Carolina during
Mother’s Day week.” In
addition, shoppers will
find an offer for 20
FREE Photo Prints and a
Pharmacy Transfer Gift
Card offer.
Mother’s
Day is very special to
Cindi Coleman and she
values the time she
spends with her family
and especially the
quality time with her
children.
“Family
time is very important
to the Coleman family,”
Coleman said about her
family, which includes
husband Brandon, sons
Brandon III and Brad,
and daughter Brooke.
“Going to some of Brad’s
races, and traveling to
see Brandon III and
Brooke in support of all
of their endeavors has
given me the opportunity
to share special moments
with each of them,
moments that I will
cherish forever as a
mother. I know all moms
share those special
moments with their
children, which is why I
am honored to be a part
of the celebration with
the Rite Aid, Huggies
and Pull-Ups brands.”
Ann
Schrader shares those
special moments with her
husband and children,
but the dedicated wife
and mother has also been
able to remain very
active in numerous
community activities.
She currently serves as
an officer on the board
for the Women’s
Auxiliary of Motorsports.
“Over the
past 10 years as a board
member with the Women’s
Auxiliary of Motorsports,
and traveling with my
own family, I have
witnessed families
facing many challenges,”
Schrader said.
“The
Women’s Auxiliary of
Motorsports is so
grateful to have Huggies
and Pull-Ups brands make
a charitable donation
that will help women,
children, and families
through those tough
times.”
These
leading brands
understand that with
their important
responsibilities, not
all mothers will be able
to make it to the NASCAR
Nationwide Series
Diamond Hill Plywood 200
at Darlington Raceway on
Friday, May 9. But,
they can still take part
of the Mother’s Day
celebration at Rite Aid
stores throughout North
Carolina and South
Carolina.
The No.
27 Rite Aid Ford Fusion
also will make special
appearances at select
Rite Aid stores in the
Carolinas, offering fans
an up-close and personal
look at one of Brad
Coleman’s race cars.
