Kevin Harvick

No. 33 Camping World Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by RVs.com Race Recap

Harvick Scores Fourth-Place Finish at NHMS

LOUDON, N.H. (June 30, 2008) — Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Chevrolet started the Camping World RV Sales 200 presented by RVs.com from the fifth spot and gained one position to cross the finish line fourth at the end of the day.

Following a fifth-place run in the first Nationwide Series practice on Friday, Harvick opted to sit out final practice as the team was happy with the car. Teams qualified on Saturday morning with Harvick grabbing the fifth starting position.

“Our Camping World Chevrolet was good today,” said Harvick. “We were a touch or two off at the start and a little loose on restarts. Track position is big here and on the last stop we took two tires and held our position to get a good finish.”

When the green flag waved to start the race, Harvick wasted no time moving to the front, taking second place on lap two. By lap 16, Harvick had slipped to fourth and radioed crew chief Wally Rogers that the car was now “loose in and tight off.”

On lap 48 under caution, the team changed four tires, added fuel and made an air-pressure adjustment to help with the tight condition of the car. Harvick restarted fourth on lap 54.

Continuing to run solidly in the top five, Harvick slipped to seventh following a pit stop on lap 102. Twenty-five laps later, the caution was again waved and strategies began to take play. Pitting from the seventh position, Harvick took on two right-side tires to help tighten the car and fuel. The race restarted on lap 133 with Harvick again in the fourth spot.

Maintaining his position, Harvick crossed the finish-line in fourth place. This marks the sixth top-five finish this season for Harvick and the No. 33 team.
