MAKE THE GLEN YOUR HOME
AWAY FROM HOME
More Amenities Added for
Campers and Guests of
The Glen This Weekend
Watkins Glen, NY (June
30, 2008)
– Race fans can camp
worry-free at Watkins
Glen International
during the Camping World
Grand Prix at The Glen.
WGI announced several
new services for guests
to help make their
weekends hassle-free and
enjoyable. In addition
to all of the useful
services, WGI is also
providing camping fans
with entertainment.
Fans camping on the
grounds at WGI can enjoy
their own Fourth of July
celebration with a
fireworks spectacular at
9:45 PM on Friday.
AAA will provide fans
with free on-site
service throughout the
event weekend. The
company will provide all
fans with services
similar to what they
provide to customers on
a regular basis. They
will assist fans in the
event of a lockout, flat
tire, dead battery, or
other car emergency. If
a fan has a problem with
his or her car, simply
go to the nearest Guest
Services kiosk and ask
if AAA can help with
your problem. AAA
membership is not
required for fans to
take advantage of this
service.
United Site Service has
also teamed with WGI to
help make the camping
experience at WGI more
enjoyable. Through this
service, fans are able
to rent their own
private portable
restroom and arrange to
have their RV water
tanks pumped. Rent for
a private portable
restroom is $80 per
restroom, per weekend,
and includes portable
toilet paper and fresh
deodorizer.
Reservations must be
placed in advance for
private portable
restrooms. RV pumping
is $35 per service, and
no reservations are
required.
A service truck will
travel throughout
camping areas every day,
at which point in time
campers may ask to have
their RVs pumped. For
more information on this
service, please call
800-791-8748 or visit

Lastly, WGI has a new
Town Hall to help bring
comfort and hospitality
to campers throughout
the Camping World Grand
Prix at The Glen event
weekend. There will be
two Town Hall structures
located within camping
areas, and both will
have large banner flags
so fans can see them
from a distance. One
town hall will be
located in the Gate 7
camping area, and the
other will be located
within Camping Section
D. Each town hall
location will have an
information booth and
staff member to help
answer any questions, an
ambulance and paramedic,
a fire truck, a law
enforcement officer, and
an ice truck. The town
hall locations will be
open 24 hours a day to
provide guests with
services whenever
necessary.
