KESELOWSKI (on getting
started with JRM last year…)
- "It’s been quite a year. I
started with JR Motorsports
this time last year on a
three-race deal. The team
had decided to make a driver
change and I was in search
of a ride. I’d just come off
a great run at Memphis in
the Truck Series when I got
the call from Dale Jr. to
come race for him. We
originally agreed to three
races just to see how
everything would fit
together. At the end of that
we’d had a few consistent
runs and it got extended to
a few more races. I think by
the time we got through
Bristol I knew we were
headed toward a full-time
deal. JRM had a great team
in place and it only got
better after the merger with
Hendrick. The increased
level of technology and
resources made this a
situation I couldn’t pass
up."
KESELOWSKI (on returning
to Chicagoland with JRM…) -
"Now we’re coming back to
Chicagoland one year later
and it’s just incredible to
look back over the last year
and see how far we’ve come.
I got together with the No.
88 Navy team at a time when
we both needed to make
something happen in this
series and it’s cool to see
how everything came
together. Now we’re running
up front consistently and
battling for a championship.
It’s exactly what we were
all looking to accomplish.”
