JEFF GREEN PREPARES FOR
DOUBLE-DUTY AT BRISTOL
Driver to run both Truck and
Nationwide Races at half-
mile track
MOORESVILLE, North
Carolina (August 18, 2008) –
Jeff Green enters is
preparing himself for his
second round of racing this
month for Key Motorsports in
a different mind set: he is
racing both the NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series and
NASCAR Nationwide Series
races at Bristol Motor
Speedway. Green will be
making his third career
start in the O’Reilly Auto
Parts 200, and his 256th
career start in the Food
City 250.
After a disappointing
finish of 26th in the Truck
series race at Nashville,
Green sets his sights on the
competitive “bump and run”
racing known at Bristol.
While eager to run in the
series which jump-started
his career, Green is
prepared for Key Motorsports’
fourth start in the Truck
race, to continuously aide
in the team’s growth, and
his growth as well.
“Nashville was such a
learning experience,” stated
Green. “Although it may not
show in the results alone,
we really gained a lot of
progress, not only for the
team, but for me as well. I
know with what we learned
just a few weeks ago, we
will be ready and very
competitive at Bristol.”
“Bristol is one of my
favorite tracks and I can
not wait to get out there in
the mix.”
“We really meshed well as
a team at Nashville,
especially with it being our
first race with Jeff,” says
Lance Hooper, crew chief of
the #40 Key Motorsports
Chevrolet. “Team
communication is vital for
us, and with a better
understanding of how the
truck is performing on the
track, we will be able to
make the truck racier and
competitive.”
“We are fired up and
ready to go.”
Key Motorsports’
Nationwide Series Crew Chief
Tommy Morgan is ecstatic
about competing in Bristol
with Jeff Green at the helm
of the #31 Chevrolet. “It is
pretty exciting to go out
there and race with those
guys with Jeff steering. Not
only is this a track that he
is very familiar and
competitive on, but to have
a past Champion behind the
wheel – we know we will have
something for them on
Friday.”
