Lowe’s Extends the
Celebration with a Winning
Deal for Consumers
MOORESVILLE, N.C.(Nov.
16, 2008) –To celebrate
Jimmie Johnson’s third
consecutive NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series Championship,
Lowe’s is offering customers
10 percent off KOBALT®
tools, tool storage and
truck boxes. The offer will
be available Nov. 17 through
Nov. 19 in all Lowe’s stores
in the U.S. and Canada on
all in-stock Kobalt tools.
“It’s a great feeling to
win our third straight
Championship, but I didn’t
get here without a great
team and the support of all
the Team Lowe’s Racing
fans,” said Johnson. “I want
to thank Lowe’s for sharing
our success with the fans
that supported us throughout
the 2008 season.”
Only 10 years ago, Lowe’s
introduced Kobalt tools, an
exclusive line of quality
tools at an affordable
price. Today there are more
than 900 tools under the
Kobalt brand and every tool
is designed and engineered
to combine toughness and
durability with the latest
developments in comfort,
balance and practical
innovations.
“To be successful, it
helps to have the right
tools for the job,” said
Team 48 Crew Chief Chad
Knaus. “The way Lowe’s is
rewarding the fans with this
great Kobalt offer is
another example of the
support they give us both on
and off the track.”
Kobalt Tools has been the
proud sponsor of the Kobalt
Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor
Speedway for the past two
seasons. In addition,
Johnson drove the No. 48
Kobalt Tools Impala SS in
eight races this year.
The 10 percent offer is
valid from Nov. 17 through
Nov. 19, 2008 in stores only
while supplies last and
excludes Special Order
items. The discount will be
taken at the register. Visit
your local Lowe’s store or
