TMS COMES TO AID OF FANS DURING DIFFICULT ECONOMIC TIMES WITH ‘BACKSTRETCH BUSTER’ SEATS

• More Than 1,000 Seats Will Be Available On Backstretch At $20 For 2009 Samsung 500 And Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Races

• Remainder Of Backstretch Seats To Go For $40 Or Part Of Family 4-Pack At $159

FORT WORTH, Texas (Dec. 1, 2008) – Texas Motor Speedway will help race fans offset the challenges of a difficult economy with “Backstretch Buster” seating for the Samsung 500 and Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races in 2009, speedway president Eddie Gossage announced today.

Texas Motor Speedway will provide fans with the least expensive seat for a NASCAR Sprint Cup race in the history of the venue by offering $20 seats on the backstretch. The special pricing will be for the first two rows of the backstretch, which will make approximately 1,080 seats available at $20 each for the Samsung 500 on April 5 and again for Dickies 500 on Nov. 8. Due to the price point, each customer will be limited to a maximum of four tickets in this section.

Texas Motor Speedway also will move to a blanket price of $40 per seat for the remaining 10 rows, which comprise approximately 8,750 seats on the newly configured backstretch that will feature “Burnout Alley” RV sites on the upper half. The speedway will continue its popular family 4-packs in these rows as well. Fans still will have the option for $159 to purchase the family 4-pack, which consists of four tickets, four hot dogs and four Coca-Colas.

“These are very, very difficult economic times for many of our race fans, and for those who are struggling we wanted to provide them a bigger window of opportunity to come out to Texas Motor Speedway and enjoy what they are passionate about,” Gossage said. “It is a great deal in any major-league sport to be able to get a seat for $20 and considering the six to seven hours of entertainment they will get between the pre-race show and racing, it is a tremendous deal for a Sprint Cup Series race. This is the lowest-priced seat we have ever offered for a Cup race and we hope our less fortunate fans during these economic times take full advantage of it.” “Backstretch Buster” seats for the Samsung 500 will go on sale 9 a.m. Tuesday while those for the Dickies 500 will be available beginning April 15.

“Backstretch Buster” seating at $20 is only available by calling the TMS ticket office at (817) 215-8500. The $40 seating and family 4-packs are available through the ticket office as well as the speedway’s website – www.texasmotorspeedway.com – and TicketMaster.
