Ed is also one of two NASCAR columnists for Gater Racing News.  He is also a reporter and photographer for them (www.gaternews.com) having worked for them since 2001. Ed lives central New York State with his wife and two teenage sons.

 

Ed has followed NASCAR racing since the 1980's and began photographing races from the grandstands when his work was noticed. He was asked to photograph local racing. He then began covering racing events at Oswego Speedway, Brewerton Speedway, Adirondack Speedway and many other New York State tracks.

Johnson dominates the Pepsi 500

Jimmie Johnson put NASCAR on notice that it was getting close to the chase for the championship and he was bringing his “A – game” when it cranks up in New Hampshire in a couple of weeks. Johnson led 228 of 259 laps to win the Pepsi 500 in dominating fashion at the Auto Club Speedway Sunday night.
