Jeffrey Gearhart has followed NASCAR since 1994. He was born in East Stroudsburg, PA and raised in Washington State. After attending a short track race at South Sound Speedway in Tenino, WA; there was no looking back.

Jeffrey attended his first Sprint Cup (then Winston Cup) race at Pocono in 1994 and became an instant fan of the late Dale Earnhardt.

He works full-time as a Corrections Officer, and has recently ventured into the journalism field as a hobby, but is quickly learning it is a passion.

Jeffrey is married and has three children, and currently resides in Shelton, WA.

NASCAR needs To wakeup and smell the economy

It is time for NASCAR to wake up! As I sit and watch week after week cars that go unsponsored, I can’t help but wonder if NASCAR is paying attention. With gas prices slowly climbing up, and the stock market in a rapid descent, there is no arguing we are in a poor economy.

Joey Logano Needs To Improve

With the 2009 Sprint Cup season five races old, Joey Logano, driver of the #20 The Home Depot Toyota, needs to live up to his hype. After the first five races, Logano sits 34th in the standings 424 points behind leader Jeff Gordon and has yet to finish in the top ten.
