About Ron Thornton Email

Ron Thornton is a former sports broadcaster, turned columnist, from Edmonton, Alberta where he lives with his wife and teen sons. When he isn't giving his thoughts on the world of NASCAR, he can be found with his family at the baseball park where his sons have just completed their Junior season of Little League as city champs. The only expertise he claims is in his ability to observe and chronicle what he has seen. The world's worst hockey player, skittish around chuckwagon horses, too pretty to professionally prize fight, he has provided the live commentary of such events on radio and television. In fact, Ron is to auto racing what Rusty Wallace is to broadcasting, but that apparently stops neither. If you enjoy his column, drop him a line. If you don't like what you read, he would like to hear from you even more.
