Larry Van Zandt comes straight from Europe, as he formerly served the current King of Norway as the ‘Royal Insult Deliverer’, devoting many years of service to the Norwegian monarch, at least until they finally got around to pressing charges.

In addition to being something of a NASCAR fan since the late 1980’s, Larry has also been following amateur and professional Drag Racing since the late 1970’s, where the bulk of the time between the late 70’s and early 90’s was spent with him being first a pit monkey for his father’s Top Fuel funny car operation, and then a mechanic/pit crew for various circle track and amateur drag racing ventures, as his father spent the remainder of his racing career going back and forth between drag racing and circle track, because Dear Old Dad couldn’t decide which sport was more financially draining…..with his father finally wrapping up the racing career in the mid-1990’s….thank God.

Larry is a bit of a nut for NASCAR, drag racing, and road-racing history, and is convinced that the golden era for all forms of motorsports was the mid-to-late 1960’s. He also is a former mechanic shop owner; spent nearly two decades as a commercial auto, truck and high-performance parts salesman; spent a few years doing various theatre-acting projects; and devotes his spare time to his wife of 18 years, and their four sons, where the family devotes almost all of their efforts on trying to flee their home state of Oregon. Whenever his ‘honey-do’ list is complete, Larry engages in auto restoration, riding ATV’s, listening to classical music, writing jokes….and starting fights on internet message boards.
