MARTINSVILLE, VA (February 8, 2010) – Two companies that offer products race fans cannot get through a race weekend without have combined to sponsor pole day for the Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
Duracell Batteries and Kroger have joined forces to present Duracell Battery Kroger Pole Day at Martinsville Speedway on Friday, March 26.
“If there are two things race fans must have on a race weekend, it is Duracell batteries and groceries from Kroger,” said Martinsville Speedway President W. Clay Campbell. “From cameras to radios to head sets, race fans need batteries from Duracell. For many fans, the race track is home-away-from-home for much of race week and they need to stay stocked up with Kroger groceries.
“This sponsorship is pretty close to a perfect combination for race fans. And on top of that, Kroger and Duracell both understand and get racing.”
Kroger has been a long-time partner with Martinsville Speedway, sponsoring the track’s two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races since 2004.
“We are thrilled with this partnership between the Duracell brand of batteries, the Mid Atlantic Division of Kroger and Martinsville Speedway, “ said Robin Bennett, Proctor and Gamble Account Executive for Kroger Mid Atlantic
