How do you feel this weekend?
"I feel pretty good. I don't sound very good, but I feel pretty good. It was a decent lap, so we'll see what happens. I think I'm past
the sickness. I feel a lot better than I did last weekend. I just sound terrible."

How hard is it to qualify at Martinsville with all the rubber 'marbles' on the track?
"You're staying on the very bottom of the race track. If you're up where the marbles are, you're in a bad position anyways. We had a
pretty good Aaron's Dream Machine -- we just missed it a little bit."

Are you happy with your qualifying lap?
"It was definitely a big pick up from what we had in practice. We weren't that good in probably three or four qualifying runs. Being
the first car out probably didn't help us any. It seemed like when the shade came a lot more cars were beating us but we'll take it.
Either way that was a big pick up for us from what we had."

How did your car handle during your qualifying lap?
"It didn't feel much different than what we had in practice. We seemed to pick up about a tenth and a half. I'll take that. I didn't
think we were going to pick up that much. It seems like the field is just really close. I'm sure it's cooling off a little bit so it will
probably get a little bit faster. Either way it's still a good pick up for us."

What was it like on pit road during the race your first time here in the spring?
"It's crazy. Maybe the one thing you've got going for you is that you're not going as fast on pit road but besides that it's a very long
pit road and you're going slow and there's cars everywhere. If someone takes two tires or something like that it seems like if you're
pitted in the back cars are still coming by you when you're coming back out if you're running good. It's tight and it's close all of the
time there. It's kind of like my old Pro Cup days where you run a lot of half-mile or smaller short tracks. It wasn't as close down pit
road but it was kind of similar."

How do you feel you've performed on tracks the second time around this season?
"I think we've picked up at almost every race track we've been to the second time. This place here, going back, we rained out
qualifying and we were 35th in points at the time. Compared to then we were a lot better I felt like. In the race I blew a right-front
and had to make a green-flag stop which kind of put an end to our day but we ran good for the rest of the day even after that. We
didn't have position or anything but we ran good. I'm kind of looking forward to this place. Like I said, coming back to these places
a second time kind of knowing what you're looking for in your race car, know where you're going, you can have some notes from last
time which helps me out and hopefully it goes better."

How has your team progressed over the last few months?
"We've just been plugging along as we've been going throughout the season. Like I said earlier, coming to these places a second time
helps a ton and I think that's kind of the biggest deal. Charlotte was one of those places that I took to the first time we went there and
made an improvement from there. It's kind of the same old, same old and as long as we keep plugging along and working hard,
hopefully it all comes together."

How was your qualifying lap?
"We were off. We've been off all day on speed. It's something that we need to work on tomorrow and we need about a half a tenth."

What makes the track at Martinsville tough to get around?
"I've not perfected it but I've definitely got it figured out a lot better than what some people have and I think it's just running more
and more laps here you kind of get a good feel for it. There's an art to it. Even though it's a relatively simple race track the two
corners are different and you've got to know all of the characteristics of the track."

Why are you so good at both Richmond and Martinsville even though they are such different race tracks?
"I think it's just a combination of things. The two tracks really suit my style obviously being short tracks. Really, it's just a little bit
more motivation, the team works really hard and we bring really good cars to these tracks. And it just seems like once you run
successful there one time, it's easy to go back and run good the next time."

How much of that is the system and how hard is it to be mistake free throughout the Chase?
"You've got to be nearly perfect. It's tough on us to have a good season and run as competitive as we have and not really have
anything to show for it at the end of the year. We've got to try to at least get some solid finishes from here on out to at least salvage
going to the banquet."

Are you satisfied with your qualifying lap?
"It was not nearly what we wanted. We expected a lot more. We just didn't get it together. We just randomly run good at places.
This is obviously been one that we've ran well for a while. I kind of like it. It's fun. Everyone is close and it makes it exciting."

How was your qualifying lap?
"We'll be starting in the top 30 if we're lucky. But a race at Martinsville is long -- 500 laps. That's a long distance, a lot of time to get
it right when it counts the most. The key to Martinsville is keeping the fenders clean and not burning up your equipment, especially
the brakes. You have to use patience, and a little pit strategy, to get to the front from where we'll be starting at. Just don't burn up your
equipment, and if you play it right you can be there toward the end. That's all you can ask for with the lap that we had."
