Choctaw Casino Resort Named Primary Sponsor of RCR's No. 07 at Texas Motor Speedway
Posted On 10/30/2009 4:03:05 PM

WELCOME, N.C. (October 29, 2009) – Richard Childress Racing has partnered with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma for a one-race primary sponsorship of the No. 07 Choctaw Casino Resort Chevrolet Impala SS in the November 8 Dickies 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

“Choctaw Casino Resort is proud to be affiliated with Richard Childress Racing,” said Janie Dillard, Executive Director of Gaming for the Choctaw Nation. “We are very excited to have the No. 07 Choctaw Team and Casey Mears behind the wheel at Texas Motor Speedway.”

The Choctaw Casino Resort, in Durant, Oklahoma, approximately 105 miles northeast of Texas Motor Speedway, is undergoing a major expansion. Projected to open in February 2010, the new casino will be 110,000 square feet and house approximately 3,000 slot machines, 30 poker tables and 40 table games. Overnight guests can look forward to the new 204,000 square-foot hotel that will offer 330 rooms ranging from double queens to executive suites. The expansion project will add approximately 1,000 new employees to its current roster of around 1,000.

“Richard Childress Racing’s partnership with the Choctaw Casino Resort provides a great opportunity to showcase the casino and resort and the expansion that’s taking place there to a live national audience,” said RCR’s Ben Schlosser, Senior Vice President, Business Operations. “We’re grateful to everyone with the Choctaw Nation involved in creating this program and look forward to other possible opportunities.”

Jack Daniel’s, the primary sponsor of the No. 07 team for the majority of the season, will serve as an associate sponsor for the Texas Motor Speedway race and will return to its primary position for the final two races of the season. Mears and the No. 07 team are currently 19th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series point standings.
