After Wild Race at Talladega,  Ron Hornaday, Jr. Maintains 202 Point Lead in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Standings with Three Races Remaining in the Season

Talladega, AL - Despite being caught up in the "Big One" at Talladega Superspeedway and relegated to a 17th place finish, Ron Hornaday, Jr., No. 33 Copart Silverado, maintains a 202 point lead in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) standings with three races remaining in the season.

The three-time NCWTS champion was caught up in a multi-truck accident on lap 91 of the scheduled 94-lap Mountain Dew 250. The race was forced to a green-white-checkered finish on the 98th lap.

Matt Crafton, No. 88 Tide/Menards Silverado, battled to the checkered in the lead pack and took the checkered in 10th place to remain second in the standings.

Kyle Busch (Toyota) was the race winner followed by Aric Almirola (Toyota), Todd Bodine (Toyota), Terry Cook (Toyota) and David Starr (Toyota) to complete the top-five finishers.

The next race for the NCWTS is set for Friday, November 6 at Texas Motor Speedway.

RON HORNADAY, JR., NO. 33 COPART SILVERADO, FINISHED 17^TH: CAN YOU TELL US WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT LATE RACE INCIDENT THAT DAMAGED YOUR TRUCK? “No, I can’t. It all happened on the outside and they all came down and I was just in the middle of it. It was a shame. We caved the grill in on the back of the No. 9 truck; I didn’t know where he was going, that kind of ruined out day. Then I stalled it leaving the pits and that put us back in the back of the pack. Good day all together, I don’t know where we finished but it doesn’t matter. It is Talladega and now we are worried about next week.”

POINTS WISE YOU CAME OUT PRETTY CLEAN AND DIDN’T LOSE TOO MANY POINTS TO SECOND PLACE MATT CRAFTON, ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THAT? “Crafton isn’t out worry. We are worried about the No. 51, he is fighting for the owners points and he is the guy we are racing too. It is one of those crap shoots and we rolled a 7 this time. We are going to go back and make sure we roll a couple of 33 the next few races.”

MATT CRAFTON, NO. 88 TIDE/MENARDS SILVERADO, FINISHED 10^TH: “That sucked really. The No. 30 cost us both the race. That is all there was too it, just chasing me up the race track and trying to stall me. He stalled me and him and gave the race to the No. 51. If he would have just raced and let us both go the start/finish line nose to tail, we would have been one-two. I don’t have any idea why he did what he did. He killed us both. Oh well. It is Talladega and we have a good piece for Daytona.”

STILL A GOOD RALLY FOR YOU AND YOUR TEAM TO COME BACK FROM A LAP DOWN EARLY IN THE RACE: “It was very good. I had a right rear going down early and being a lap down and coming back and lead the race coming down the back stretch through three and four to the checkered flag, just got screwed on the deal. It is Talladega, what do you expect.”
