Toyota NASCAR Notes & Quotes I Texas
Posted On 11/3/2009 5:47:02 PM

TOYOTA TIDBITS -- November 2 - 8, 2009
Here Are the Headlines:
Talladega Tales Topped By Logano
Busch Ready to Score Four in Texas
Todd To Try Pick Six at Texas
Toyota Takes Another Manufacturer's Title

TALLADEGA TALES: In the final restrictor-plate race of the season, Joey Logano (third) was the top Toyota driver to the finish
line in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) race at Alabama's Talladega Superspeedway. Other Camry drivers in the field who
registered top-15 results included Michael Waltrip, who finished seventh, as well as Brian Vickers (13th) and Kyle Busch (15th).
Mechanical issues forced Denny Hamlin to retire from the race early and relegated him to a 38th-place finish. Hamlin is now 11th
in the unofficial NSCS Chase point standings and Vickers is in 12th-place with three races remaining this year.

ANOTHER TUNDRA TRIUMPH: In the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at Talladega, Busch picked up
his sixth series win of the year in Billy Ballew Motorsports 300th series start. W ith help from his teammate, Aric Almirola, the duo
passed Todd Bodine on the final lap coming out of turn four and headed to the checkered flag. Following Busch to the finish line
were Almirola (second), Bodine (third), Terry Cook (fourth) and David Starr (fifth).

KYLE COLLECTING TEXAS TRIUMPHS: The last three NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) races at Texas Motor
Speedway have been won by Busch in dominating fashion -- he's led 478 of 600 race laps in the three events. The Las Vegas-native
has also demonstrated that where you start doesn't matter at Texas. Last year in April, he started 31st -- the deepest position in the
field from which a driver has won. He started fourth last November and earlier this year he started from the pole en route to his
third consecutive Texas triumph. Busch and his Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) teammate, Logano , will be running special paint schemes
on Saturday featuring the 'WWE Smackdown vs. Raw' video game.

FIVE FOR TODD IN TEXAS: Tundra drivers have won six of the 11 Truck Series races at Texas since entering the series in
2004. Tundra driver Bodine has the most NCWTS victories in the Lone Star state with five (2004-2, 2005-2, 2006-1, 2007-1, 2009-
1), along with one pole position (2007-1). The other win by a Tundra driver came in the 2007 fall race when former Toyota driver
Ted Musgrave crossed the finish line first. Mike Skinner has five NCWTS pole positions at Texas. Despite being winless at the
one-and-a-half-mile oval, Skinner has nine top-10 results in 11 Texas starts and has also led 458 laps at the track.

ANOTHER TOYOTA TITLE: Busch's NCWTS victory at Talladega Superspeedway enabled Toyota to clinch its fourth
consecutive Truck Series manufacturer's championship and sixth NASCAR title. Truck honors have been earned by Toyota drivers
every year since 2006, and Camry drivers have combined to take the last two Nationwide Series titles (2008-09). In 2009, Tundra
drivers have combined to produce 13 victories, 58 top-five finishes and 119 top-10 results in 22 events. Five Tundra drivers are in
the top-10 in NCWTS points -- Skinner (third), Bodine (fourth), Brian Scott (sixth), Timothy Peters (seventh) and Starr (ninth).

TEST DRIVE TWIST: This weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, fans will get a chance to 'Start Something' -- at an off-road test
course where fans can drive brand-new Toyota vehicles on a challenging man-made course. Participants will be able to test their
driving skills as they attempt to guide a Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma or the all-new fifth generation Toyota 4Runner through this course
- consisting of dirt hills, tight corners and other challenging obstacles. The 'Start Something' course will be located across from the
'Nationwide Tower,' adjacent to the hospitality village in the VIP/PSL parking lot.
