AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY CELEBRATES THE ANCHOVY … NOT! WE'RE ALSO DISSIN' SERVICE CHARGES... REALLY!
Posted On 11/4/2009 5:06:07 PM

~ Pizza (without anchovies), cupcakes and hot pastrami highlight Auto Club 500’s popular $35 Pepsi Rock ‘N Rows Ticket Tuesdays  ~

~ Promotion builds off popular zucchinis, donuts, ice cream giveaways ~

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2009) – Auto Club Speedway doesn’t have anything against the anchovy.  Unfortunately, the small, silvery ocean fish just doesn’t fit into its “National Pizza with The Works Except Anchovies Day” promotion.  Neither do ticket service fees.

So set your alarm clocks and call 800-944-RACE (7223) or go online to www.autoclubspeedway.com  to take advantage of this amazing Ticket Tuesday offer and experience all the on-track action at Southern California’s Premier motorsports facility.  Area race fans can also begin to line up at the Speedway ticket office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (PT).  And just like in February and October, the Pepsi Rock N’ Rows $35 tickets are expected to sell out quickly -- again.

“Anchovies are often that secret ingredient that you just can't put your finger on – as in Worcester sauce or in a Caesar salad – the thing that really makes a recipe pop,” said Speedway President Gillian Zucker.  “Not true here.  This promotion will pop just fine without anchovies.  But it won’t pop for long so get to the phone, the internet or the Auto Club Speedway ticket office quickly.”

To help celebrate“National Pizza with The Works Except Anchovies Day” and other special days, Auto Club Speedway brings back one of motorsports’ most unique and talked about promotions:  the popular “$35 Ticket Tuesdays.”  Each Tuesday during the months of November, December and January, ACS will give away “extra goodies” to anyone purchasing a $35 Pepsi Rock N’ Rows ticket to Southern California’s West Coast Premiere of NASCAR – the Auto Club 500 on Feb. 21.  And this time, they’ve added another twist:  NO SERVICE FEES on any ticket order purchased on Tuesdays during the promotion (a $12 savings on each order).

  • During the month of November, to celebrate “National Pizza with The Works Except Anchovies Day” (Nov. 12), ticket buyers who purchase on any Tuesday will receive a free coupon for a large pizza from Little Caesars.  Coupons are redeemable at any Inland Empire Little Caesars while in town for the Auto Club 500.

  • During the month of December, to celebrate December 15th’s “National Cupcake Day”, ticket buyers will receive a coupon for what everyone at the Auto Club 500 is talking about – Sprinkles Cupcakes.  Banana, carrot, ginger lemon, peanut butter chip, vanilla milk chocolate, red HOT velvet, just a few of the flavors race fans can experience from this Beverly Hills mainstay available throughout the Speedway property during race weekend.

  • During the month of January, to celebrate “National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day” (Jan. 14), ticket buyers will receive a coupon for a hot pastrami sandwich from the Canter’s Deli on site in the Auto Club Speedway FanZone.  A Los Angeles landmark since 1931, Canter’s is known for its New York deli fare especially the corned beef and pastrami sandwiches.

Last year’s $35 tickets went quickly as zucchini, Krispy Kreme donuts and ice cream highlighted the list of special giveaways.  These extra incentives are certain to go quickly as well.  This offer is sure to be all the rage among NASCAR fans and will be available for a limited time only.  Get your goodies – while supplies last – at www.autoclubspeedway.com, at the Speedway ticket office or calling 800-944-RACE (7223) on Tuesday’s.
