Elliott Sadler will make his 13th NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) start at Chicagoland Speedway this Saturday night in Joliet, IL. In Sadler’s previous 12 NXS starts at Chicagoland, he’s recorded one victory in 2012, two top-five and six top-10 finishes. Earlier this year, Sadler started third and finished 11th.
Ryan Blaney drove his No. 22 Ford to a second-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in Saturday’s My Bariatric Solutions 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race. It was his second race in the series this year and his second top-two result.
Nelson Piquet Jr., driver of the No. 30 car in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been fined $10,000, required to participate in sensitivity training as directed by NASCAR, and placed on indefinite probation for violating the sanctioning body’s Code of Conduct policy.

Richard Childress Racing and Kevin Harvick Incorporated have reached agreement on a collaborative effort that will have KHI's current NASCAR Nationwide Series program merge with RCR beginning in 2012.

In 145 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Richard Childress Racing teams have earned seven points-paying victories (four wins with Dale Earnhardt, one with Jeff Burton and two with Kevin Harvick) and four All-Star race victories (three with Earnhardt and one with Harvick), giving RCR 11 total Sprint Cup Series checkered flags at the Concord, N.C.-based track. RCR boasts 21 top-five and 45 top-10 finishes at the 1.5-mile track. Childress, a former driver on NASCAR's senior circuit, contributed two of those top-10 finishes in 1978 and 1979. The Welcome, N.C. organization has led a combined 1,148 laps at the Charlotte facility.
