Richard Childress' grandson, Austin Dillon, took the #3 out for a spin on his truck and bought it home in the top-15! (sounds better than '14th place'!) He had a good night and proved himself a racer when he was asked if there was something that needed to be done to the truck, he admitted that the truck was fine, and the spin was all his. I'm glad to see Richard Childress taking back his number and using it!

That Iowa Speedway has been shown to be a track to race on. Both the Nationwide and truck series' ran an entertaining race on it. Cup could drop any one of its 1.5-milers for this track, fer sher.

If the #3 makes it back to the cup series, I think it ought to be Jr driving it. I also think Jr should sign with RCR after he fails at Hendrick. I'm no huge Jr fan, but I think he's okay.

The number was actually Richard Childress' to start with. Dale Sr drove for Richard and ran with Richard's number. Dale Sr's number was the 15, hence the second car in DEI's stable. Jr took his granddaddy Ralph's number when he started and that's the one he should run.

I think Jr will stay with Hendrick until his shilling ways are depleted, then start his own stable (Or buy out Teresa wholesale!). He's NOT gonna win any championships as a driver, but he might do well as an owner.
