Elliott Sadler

No. 88 GT Vodka Chevrolet

“I’m really thankful to be back with GT Vodka and JR Motorsports at Richmond. The GT Vodka Chevrolet is a great looking car, and it’s always a thrill to race at Richmond because it’s so close to home for me. I’ve been coming to this track for a long, long time; ever since I was a teenager. A lot of my kinfolk still have seats on the top row over looking the start/finish line, so I really want to have a good run on Friday night.

“I’m fully expecting to run well this weekend, especially with all the momentum that the No. 88 team is bringing into this race after their win from last week. I was thrilled to see Pops (Eury Sr.), Jamie and that whole team get a win. I can attest first hand to how hard that team has been working this year, and it’s great to see them rewarded for their efforts.”

Aric Almirola

No. 7 JRM Chevrolet

“Everyone is excited to get a jump on next season. I’ve ran the No. 88 with Pops before, but this is my first opportunity to run in the No. 7 car with Tony (Eury) Jr. Although I’ll be with the 88 team next year, this is a great chance to get more familiar with the entire JRM team, and how the whole organization operates.

“Richmond offers some great short track racing. You can be it’ll be an exciting race for both the drivers and the fans. We want to set realistic goals for this weekend, and knowing the type of preparation and where the 7 car is capable of running, I’m not going to be happy with anything short of a top-10 run.”

JR MOTORSPORTS NOTEBOOK –

JRM CELEBRATES FIRST WIN OF 2010 – JR Motorsports secured its first win of 2010 at Atlanta Motor Speedway last weekend with Jamie McMurray and the No. 88 Hellmann’s Chevrolet. McMurray led three times for 48 laps – a season high – and took the lead for the final time on lap 173 of the 195-lap race. It marked the ninth overall win for JRM and first for the No. 88 team since Memphis in 2009. The 88 team now has at least one win in each of the last three Nationwide Series seasons, dating back to 2008. The finish was McMurray’s eighth career win in the Nationwide Series and first since Darlington in 2004.
