No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing News and Notes Heading Into Texas:

The Driver…Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who leads the Raybestos Rookie of the Year standings by five points, will make his second NASCAR Nationwide Series start Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday. In April, Stenhouse started 5th and finished 29th.

The Organization…Roush Fenway Racing has four wins, 20 top fives and 34 top 10s in 57 Nationwide Series starts at TMS. Stenhouse joins teammates Carl Edwards, Paul Menard, Trevor Bayne and Colin Braun in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge on Saturday afternoon.

The Machine…Stenhouse’s Ford Fusion will carry the familiar red, blue and silver colors of CitiFinancial again this weekend. CitiFinancial is the primary sponsor for 24 races in 2010 with Stenhouse. The team will use chassis #RK-378 at Texas. Stenhouse raced this chassis three times in 2010, most recently in October at Kansas Speedway where he started 18th and finished 6th.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

“I can’t wait to get to Texas this weekend. The last time we were there, we had a fast car. We qualified in the top five and had a solid run going until we were a victim of someone else’s mistake. Texas is super fast and I am confident we’ll have a great car for the race. We are taking the same car we finished sixth in a few weeks ago at Kansas Speedway, so it’s a proven piece. We have been running well lately and the fact that I have experience on the track, makes this entire CitiFinancial team excited about the weekend.”

Crew Chief Mike Kelley on racing at Texas Motor Speedway:

“The Texas Motor Speedway is fast. We haven’t been able to pull off a win there as a company in a couple of years so we’re due. We’ve really worked hard lately on a new program for the mile and a half tracks. We had a fast car back in the spring at Texas and we’re looking forward to see what happens this weekend. Like I said, it’s a fast race track and it will lend itself to Ricky’s driving style. We showed we were fast at Charlotte and Atlanta over the last couple of months so Texas is going to be fun.”
