RON HORNADAY

No. 33 Anderson’s Maple Syrup Chevrolet Silverado

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race 8 of 25 – Kansas Speedway

MOTIVATION IS HOT: Four-time champion Ron Hornaday is heading into Kansas Speedway with an extra bit of motivation. The Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) driver is credited with one win (2008), three poles, three top-five and four top-10 finishes in six starts at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval. Hornaday held an average position of 1.623 during last year’s race and will be hot to get to Kansas’s victory lane during Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250.

SWEET RIDE: On board the No. 33 Chevrolet this weekend will be Anderson’s Maple Syrup from north woods Wisconsin. The third-generation family-owned and operated business built its foundation on pure American-made syrup. Anderson’s will make its debut for the team as primary sponsor at Kansas but will again join the team later this season on October 22 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.

CHASSIS HISTORY: The No. 33 team will utilize chassis No. 058 this weekend at Kansas Speedway. The same truck returns to action after a fifth-place finish two weeks ago at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

NASCAR TRUCK SERIES HITS A MILESTONE: The O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway will mark the 400th start for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. This milestone falls during the series’ 17th season. Since its inception the Truck Series has seen 10 different series champions. Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) driver Ron Hornaday currently holds the record for most wins (47) and championships (2009, 2007, 1997 and 1996). Hornaday captured his two most recent championships while driving for KHI.

AT-TRACK SCAVENGER HUNT: Fans will have the opportunity to participate in a scavenger hunt at Kansas Speedway to win tickets to the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 and other great KHI prizes. Stay tuned to www.twitter.com/KHI_TruckSeries or www.facebook.com/KevinHarvickInc for the latest updates and the starting point for the scavenger hunt.

PREVIOUS RACE RECAP: The No. 33 Utz Snacks Chevrolet team fought their way through the caution-filled N.C. Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway to capture the team’s fifth top-five finish of the season. The team heads to Kansas Speedway fifth in the Driver Point standings, 28 points from the lead.

THOUGHTS FROM THE DRIVER: Ron Hornaday

What are your thoughts heading into Kansas?

“Our team is heading into this weekend with a little bit more fire in us. We are ready to make sure that everyone knows we are out hunting for that Truck Series championship. I couldn’t ask for a better set of guys to be working with. We’re sitting fifth in points and it just looks like we’ll have to win a few more races. I’m okay with that.”

THOUGHTS FROM THE CREW CHIEF: Jeff Hensley

What are your thoughts heading into Kansas?

“Kansas is one of my favorite tracks. Each time I have been there, I’ve been in contention for the win. The track there is really smooth and forgiving where down force is going to be a premium. This is a really fast track and with the race being moved to the afternoon the track is going to be hot and slick. We have worked extra hard here at the shop on our down force package so I feel confident heading into this weekend.”

About Anderson’s Maple Syrup:

In 1928, Paul Anderson first shared the distinct taste of Wisconsin’s Northwoods in tins of his delicately sweet maple syrup. Three generations later, the Anderson family carries on its sugarmaking heritage by bottling pure maple syrup from the same sugarbush their grandfather tapped for so many years. A healthy all-natural delicacy, authentic maple syrup is a nutritious, low-calorie alternative to artificial sweeteners and maple-flavored syrups. From its roots in Cumberland, Wisconsin, Anderson’s Maple Syrup can today be found in supermarkets and specialty shops across the country, including Kroger stores.
