Replaces Easton Corbin who had to cancel due to illness
KANSAS CITY, Kan. (Oct. 5, 2011) – Kansas Speedway announced today that Valory Music Co. recording artist Brantley Gilbert will perform Sunday prior to the Hollywood Casino 400. Gilbert’s latest hit, “Country Must Be Country Wide” is currently 12th on the Billboard Country Music chart. The Georgia native’s new album “Halfway to Heaven Deluxe” is currently fourth on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
Gilbert is also a renowned song writer with #1 hits like “My Kinda Party” and “Red Dirt Anthem,” which were recorded by country music star Jason Aldean. In February 2011, Gilbert was signed to Big Machine Label Group’s imprint The Valory Music Co. – home to superstars Reba and Jewel as well as #1 chart-topper Justin Moore.
The concert, which starts at 11:10 AM, is open to all Kansas Speedway Track Pass holders.
If race fans can’t wait until Sunday, there are several other music options for the weekend. Following Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway, Curb Records recording artists Rachel Holder and Tim Dugger are performing a concert in the Display Midway, followed by The Chris Weaver Band presented by Clint Bowyer.
